Ever wanted to give archery a go? Join us for one of our TryArchery sessions!
Our 2-hours (approx.) TryArchery session is a fun introduction to the sport of archery.
It is designed to help you decide if the sport is for you!
All equipment is provided, and the session is conducted by Archery Australia Accredited Coaches.
NOTE: 9 years is the minimum age for the TryArchery sessions.
The relevant fees are are indicated within our Schedule of Fees.
Bookings are essential.
Completing payment online by Credit/Debit card will provide immediate acceptance into the TryArchery session. (If it is full, you will not be able to complete the registration and will have to choose an alternative session.) Please note: in order to register, you will be required to first create an account, as a part of proving you are a real person!
TryArchery sessions (9.00am, for 9.15 am)
Wednesday, 9 July – school holidays (register from 2 July)
Sunday, 3 August (register from 3 July)
Sunday, 7 September – Fathers’ Day (register from 7 July)
Wednesday, 1 October – school holidays (register from 1 August)
Sunday, 9 November (register from 9 September)
Sunday, 4 January (register from 4 November)
Sunday, 8 February (register from 8 December)
And then?
We offer Beginner courses held over two (generally consecutive) Sunday mornings. Each class lasts about two hours.
The classes are conducted by coaches accredited by Archery Australia and all the archery equipment needed for the course is supplied by the Club.
To register, you must have completed one of our TryArchery sessions, within the previous four months.
The Club’s Coaches have undertaken Working with Children Checks with the SA Government DHS.
Subject to other events and the availability of coaches, we conduct beginner courses every other month.
The cost of the beginner course includes the provision of all equipment and insurances.
The variety of equipment and shooting styles is explained. You are encouraged to hold off on buying equipment until you have completed the beginner course. After all, you may wish to change the direction in where the sport can take you! (Archery equipment may be available for hire for a limited time, once the course has been completed.)

On successful completion of the course, you will be able to apply for Club membership.
