We are honoured to be hosting the ARCHERY SA Tyro Tournament and the ARCHERY SA AJ Barter 50Plus Tournament at Oakbank Racecourse on Sunday, 20 October.
The two tournaments are run alongside each other and shooting will commence at 1.00 pm.
As the host, we need to:
- set out the field of play on Saturday, 19 October (from 10.00 am) and install distance marks (for the targets), shooting line, wait line, and 3m line, organise shelter for the DoS and the Judges, and determine placement of bunting & banner flags.
- set-up the events on the day (from 9.00 am) – including install the timing equipment, ensure targets are issued from the container (set up with target face, target number, flag and backstop)
- cater for lunch from 11.00 am for competitors, spectators and volunteers (supply the food, prepare and cook it, accept payments, & serve it!) (and clean-up)
- And, at the end, supervise the packing up.
